Frost is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the Frost Minecraft Client, our website, or our other services (the launcher, our Discord server, the store, and the creator dashboard). We've written this to reflect what we actually collect today, not a generic template — if something below changes, this page changes with it.
Your Microsoft sign-in. Signing in to your Minecraft account happens directly inside a Microsoft-hosted window — we never see your password. The resulting Microsoft/Xbox/Minecraft tokens are stored only on your own device, never on our servers. See our Security page for the full detail, including the one fallback case where your Minecraft token briefly passes through our server on its way to Mojang's own API for verification (never stored, never logged).
Discord sign-in. Reviews, staff/creator applications, the partner dashboard, statistics pages and our admin tools sign you in with Discord. This shares your Discord user ID, username and avatar with us, and — only for staff/creator tools — your server role membership. We never see your Discord password.
Minecraft account & gameplay data. Once your Discord and Minecraft accounts are linked, we store your Minecraft username and UUID against your Discord ID, so we can verify ownership of cosmetics (capes) and Frost Client Lite. While you're playing, the launcher/mod reports a lightweight "still online" signal — your Minecraft username and launcher/mod version — used only to show a live player count. We no longer collect which server you're playing on or how long you play, and our statistics pages no longer publish a list of who is online. We never see anything about singleplayer worlds, and we never collect your IP address through the launcher.
Cosmetics & rewards. Your selected Frost cape and your Discord server boost count (used to grant Frost Client Lite) are stored against your Discord ID.
Bug reports & support tickets. If you submit a bug report or open a support ticket, we store what you send us — including message content and any attachments — to help staff resolve it. Ticket conversations are kept in a staff-only archive for reference (oldest entries are dropped once the archive fills up) and, if you're given a transcript link, that public link expires and is deleted automatically after 24 hours.
Reviews & applications. If you post a public review or apply for a staff/creator role, we store the content you submit (rating, comment, application answers) along with your Discord identity.
Payments. If you purchase Frost Client Lite, a cape, or receive a creator payout, our payment provider (Whop) and our payout process share your name and email (for purchases) or PayPal email (for creator withdrawals) with us, so we can confirm and process the transaction.
We don't set tracking cookies — the website uses your browser's local storage only to remember things like your sign-in session and preferences on your own device. We don't run third-party analytics or advertising/tracking scripts. We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
Frost integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
Public ticket transcript links expire and are deleted after 24 hours. The staff-only ticket archive is capped in size and drops its oldest entries once full. Account-linked data (Discord ID, Minecraft username/UUID, cape selection, boost/Lite status) is kept for as long as it's relevant to providing that feature, or until you ask us to remove it. You may request deletion of any personally identifiable data by reaching out via our Discord server.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us through our Discord server.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
