Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Frost Minecraft Client ("Frost", "the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use Frost.

2. License

Frost is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on your personal devices. You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense Frost without prior written permission.

3. Payments

Frost Client itself remains free, as described in Section 2. Some optional extras are paid — the Frost Client Lite subscription, and one-time purchases such as cosmetics in the Frost Store. For all of them, the following applies: the price shown at checkout is the final amount — there are no hidden or additional charges from us on top of it — and all payments are final; we do not offer refunds. By completing any purchase you agree to this.

Frost Client Lite is an optional paid subscription, and the following terms apply to it specifically.

• The subscription price shown at checkout is a voluntary, recurring contribution toward Frost's development and hosting costs, made in exchange for access to the Lite build and its perks (in-game badge, Discord role, priority support tickets, staff pings). It is not sold as a fixed, itemized service level, and no specific feature or performance outcome is guaranteed in return for payment.
• We do not guarantee that Lite will work perfectly on every system, or that it will improve performance for every user — actual results depend heavily on your own hardware, drivers, and setup. If Lite doesn't noticeably help (or help enough) on your particular system, that is not grounds for a refund.
• All payments are final. We do not issue refunds, in part or in full, for any billing period — this applies regardless of how much of that period you actually used Lite, and regardless of the reason for cancellation.
• Cancelling your subscription stops future renewals but does not end your current billing period early; access continues until that period's end, with no partial refund for the unused remainder.
• If a renewal payment fails or is declined, Lite access is suspended until the payment method is corrected or the subscription is cancelled.
• If you accidentally purchase more than one active Lite subscription (for example, under two payment methods, or through a duplicate checkout), we do not automatically refund the extra one. Instead, contact us through a support ticket on our Discord server — at our discretion, we may cancel the duplicate subscription and extend your remaining one by an equivalent amount of time instead. This is handled case by case through support and is not an automatic or self-service process.
• Filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider without first contacting support may result in immediate loss of Lite access and a ban from future Lite purchases, in addition to any other remedies available to us.
• Lite perks (badge, Discord role, priority support) are tied to an active subscription and are removed automatically if it lapses, is cancelled, or a payment fails — no manual request is needed on your part for either grant or removal.
• We may change the price or perks of Lite at any time. A price change takes effect starting with your next renewal onward — it never applies retroactively to a billing period you've already paid for.
• By purchasing Frost Client Lite, you agree to this section in full, in addition to the rest of these Terms.

4. Permitted Use

You may use Frost to:

• Play Minecraft on servers that permit the use of clients with the features Frost provides
• Browse and install mods from Modrinth and CurseForge
• Use built-in performance optimisations and cosmetics

5. Prohibited Use

You may not use Frost to:

• Cheat, exploit, or gain unfair advantages on servers that prohibit such behaviour
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify Frost beyond what is expressly permitted
• Distribute malware, phishing content, or illegal material through the client
• Violate Mojang's Minecraft End User License Agreement

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Frost is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that Frost will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all system configurations.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Frost and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Software.

8. Third-Party Content

Frost provides access to mods and content from third-party platforms such as Modrinth and CurseForge. We are not responsible for third-party content and encourage you to review the respective licenses before installing any mod.

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Frost after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
